Evaluation Summary

Description of opening sequence:
A group of friends go to stay at a log cabin in the middle of nowhere to have a sleepover. They are chatting and eating around a fire and one of the friends goes outside to call her mum. Soon after the group inside hear chopping noises. The remaining two friends  look at each other in horror and go to peer outside the door to investigate. One girl’s leg gets grabbed and she is pulled away. One of the friends tries to pull her back inside but fails.

Final Opening Sequence Video

Opening Sequence is finished!

After added our soundtrack and exporting the whole sequence it is finally complete! We are really happy with the finished product and pleased with the way the sound is low key however effective.

Creating the soundtrack

In a lesson I had previously started to download some free sound loops to use in our soundtrack, which was helpful as I didn't find a lot I liked on garage band. In todays lesson I created the soundtrack and tried to show the contrast between the points of view; for example we used dark sound when it was the killers point of view to show he was deadly, but from the point of views of the girls we used light cheerful sound to show their innocence to the situation. Overall I are very happy with the way the soundtrack was finished and I feel it suits the genre well.

Using LiveType for titles

In today's lesson Libby and I began to plan the art of the titles for our sequence. We decided that we wanted to use two separate fonts, a typewriter style for the explanation, so it looks like military and planning E.G Date: 4/1/13 Time: 5.11pm Location: Betchworth Coordinates: 51.239566, -0.276031
We will also use a simple, neat font for the additional titles which will include our production company, our roles and our actresses names.
